Dirtybird Campout Returns To Modesto Reservoir For A Week of Games and Music

Dirtybird Campout will continue its fantastic festival at Modesto Reservoir with music and games for all attendees to enjoy.

Missing the nostalgia of dusty days at summer camp or wanting to experience the summer camp vacation you never got? DirtyBird Campground at the Modesto Reservoir is the festival for you. The festival started by Claude Vonstroke in 2015 is a week full of music, adventures in nature, and most importantly camp activities.

This week is a great chance to embrace your inner child and engage in activities such as dodgeball, soccer, tug of war, and even roller skating at the disco. The first phase of the lineup has already been announced and reveals a colorful lineup. There will be four stages one for house and techno, one for the bass heads and rap music fans, the games and activities stage, and a stage to rage from dusk till dawn.

Last year the San Francisco roller skate group Church of 8 Wheels built and ran the roller rink for Dirtybird’s far-out roller disco. Attendees were able to rent out roller blades or bring their own for four nights of fun-themed disco dancing. There were groovy performances by many passionate artists including VNSSA, Ardalana, Gene Farris, and many other great producers.

Church of 8 Wheels is one of San Francisco’s roller rink communities which was started by David Miles Jr. back in 2013. Miles transformed an old church into a roller rink for people to enjoy a safe and fun place to skate. This skating community has also hosted their inclusive spaces around the Bay Area at locations such as Golden Gate Park during the pandemic, Liberation Park, and the Tamale Festival.

Fans hope to see the Church of 8 Wheels and their return to the campgrounds this year for Dirtybird. Make sure to get your tickets here so you do not miss out on all the Dirtybird Campout fun. Check out the phase 2 lineup below!
