The Martinez Brothers Experiment with R&B for Vibey Dance Floor Heater “Just A Feeling”

On July 29, the New York duo, The Martinez Brothers released their new single “Just A Feeling” which features R&B singer-songwriter Leven Kali and legendary hitmaker Scott Storch. This is a record that combines several different genres and pioneers within the various music spaces.

When you see the features on this track it makes you wonder how the end product will sound. However, it’s a smooth, groovy club jam that’s accompanied by Leven’s melodic vocals. It follows May’s hit release “Rizzla” featuring Drake collaborator Gordo and Nigeria’s Afrobeat prince Rema.

When speaking about the record the brothers said “Just A Feeling is a super special track for us.” The song incorporates Leven Kali’s amazing vocals and legendary keys by the veteran producer, Scott Storch. The tracks stems from the world we were living in about a year ago. It talks about how we shouldn’t let anything bring us down, no matter how bad it may be. At the end of the day, we all go through things but we don’t need to keep those moments with us, it can be “just a feeling”.

Looking ahead, the Martinez Brothers are still at the top of their game. The duo has been the talk of the town in Ibiza since landing their residency at Hï Ibiza. Every Tuesday the group has been playing in the main room and every week looks like an absolute spectacle. This is one of the duo’s biggest headlining residencies to date.

In previous years, they were regular residents at DC10’s Circoloco, but this summer just took their stock to a whole other level. Joining the group are other producers such as Honey Dijon, Loco Dice, Kerri Chandler, Carl Craig, and Louie Vega who will join them for the rest of the duration.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
