Svdden Death Announces Inaugural Summoning of the Eclipse Festival at The Caverns

Dubstep superstar Svdden Death curates a massive two-day festival at the coveted venue, The Caverns in Tennessee.

Yesterday, Svdden Death, real name Danny Howland, shared a mysterious teaser video to his Facebook fan page, DEATH CVLT (SVDDEN DEATH FAN GROUP). With the caption, “TIME TO DESCEND.” and cryptic, ghostly visuals, the video stirred anticipation around what trick the artist might have up his sleeve next. The video closed with the words, “Summoning of the Eclipse” which alluded to today’s massive announcement–a two-day, multi-stage dubstep festival taking place on October 21st and 22nd.

Summoning of the Eclipse marks Svdden Death’s first ever festival, featuring a star-studded lineup that the artist handpicked himself. Headlining the festival is VOYD, Svdden Death’s diabolical alias adorned with his famous bone crown headpiece. Joining VOYD as headliners for Summoning of the Eclipse festival are Sullivan King, ATLIENS, Eprom, and Wooli. There will also be several back-to-back headlining performances by Eptic and Space Laces, Must Die! And Aweminus, and Svdden Death and Marauda.

Notable Summoning of the Eclipse Undercard Acts

Svdden Death also curated a superb undercard, featuring some of the most sought-after rising talents in the industry.

Reverend b2b Moovy

Both Reverend and Moovy are quickly becoming household names in the dubstep space. Revered having gained support after sharing a slew of spine-chilling singles, and Moovy after dominating the Florida bass music scene. The two soon-to-be Salt Lake City residents undoubtedly have a few tricks up their sleeve that fans won’t want to miss.

IMANU

French-born Dutch artist IMANU launched his project in 2019, after previously performing under his Signal alias. At just 23 years old, IMANU has already collaborated with industry leaders such as Noisia, josh pan, and What So Not. He’s become known for his drum and bass offerings, although, demonstrating versatility across various genres, IMANU’s forthcoming performance should be left up to the imagination.

Hekler

Las Vegas-born producer Hekler is currently breaking boundaries in dubstep, making him a perfect addition to this lineup of champions. Hekler is known for his aggressive basslines and energetic stage presence. His recent offering “OG BOI BE BACK” is currently topping charts in the dubstep genre.

LYNY

Hip-hop and trap-influenced dubstep producer LYNY has been on a hot streak with festival bookings, most recently playing Electric Forest’s historic return. LYNY surely has plans to keep the momentum by (respectfully) demolishing the stage at the inaugural Summoning of the Eclipse event.

Infekt b2b SampliFire

European artists Infekt and SampliFire are two legendary names in the dance music space. The pair are well versed in collaborating, as they’ve played b2b at a number of festivals in the past, often alongside the iconic riddim connoisseur, Mvrda. Expect lots of chopping, slicing, and headbanging during their performance.

Space Wizard

Space Wizard has become somewhat of a leader in the underground dubstep space. He’s typically recognized for his downtempo, experimental soundscape but has been known to crank up the heat occasionally. Summoning of the Eclipse will afford fans to witness Space Wizard like they never have before.

A special pre-sale for those who attended Svdden Death’s previous Caverns event will go on sale on August 2nd. To sign up for general presale for early access to tickets, visit Summoning of the Eclipse’s website.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
