Stuca Responds to Sexual Assault Allegations 10 Months Later
After nearly a year of silence, Stuca comes forward with an official statement regarding sexual assault allegations made against him in 2021
Back in August 2021, Twitter user @equeslut, who goes by Mady on the account, came forward with accusations of sexual assault against producer/DJ, Stuca. In her tweets, Mady recounted the first time meeting the producer, real name Geoffrey Boss. She also went into detail about the subsequent alleged inappropriate sexual conduct and eventual assault. Mady didn’t give any timeline as to when these events might have taken place but has since filed a police report.
Following the allegations, Stuca was dropped from a few music festivals such as Lost Lands, Paradise Blue and Bass Canyon. Since then, the young bass producer has remained quiet until very recently.
On July 6, Stuca released an Instagram post with the caption “Please read. Link in bio”. The post contains an official statement from Geoffrey Boss, with a link in his bio to an even larger document. The document lays out a timetable of text messages and phone calls from when the two met to essentially their falling out.
The document ends with a final quote from Stuca “This has been a dark time for me, but I hope that by sharing this I can begin to rebuild my life. I am not a perfect person. There may have been ways I could have distanced myself from her more respectfully. This statement is not a vendetta against Madyson, but an attempt to clear my name and show that I am not the person she made me out to be.”
Lastly, aside from the allegations, Stuca’s last post on Instagram depicts he has some new music in the near future. The producer posted several unreleased track snippets with the caption “I think it’s time for some new music”. For fans, this can be some encouragement that the Stuca project is still alive and well.
