1. 45 East

45 East offers a two-story nightclub experience. The lower level features a space for local DJs and headliners to perform as well as a bar in the back. They have a special VIP area on the side and most importantly a dance floor. They have all genres of electronic artists who come to perform ranging from acts such as Ship Wrek to Kaivon to Boys Noize in September 2022.

Their more intimate upstairs stage is known as the Jade Room and has a bar and outdoor balcony. Perfect for getting some air after raging hard or to socialize and make new friends. The Jade room has seen acts such as producer Wenzday and will be featuring artists in the future such as Duskus.

2. North Warehouse

The North Warehouse is another fantastic location for electronic music and is located in North Portland near the river. This venue works in collaboration with Rose Entertainment to offer the perfect warehouse space for ravers and flow artists to come together. In addition to providing performances by producers, NW typically has artists and dance performers create live art and movement during the show.

The North Warehouse has featured acts such as Troyboi and Duke Dumont and will be hosting drum and bass producer Sub Focus in late July. There is a main stage inside the warehouse with a big screen behind it for visuals as well as a smaller outdoor stage. They recently also hosted Desert Hearts for their summer tour celebrating their 10-year anniversary.

3. Opaline PDX

Opaline in NW Portland describes itself as an “Indonesian-inspired event facility and EDM oasis” and features all sorts of events for those who love to dance. Every third Friday they have a Reggaeton and Bollywood music night and on other days host electronic producers.

The venue worked in collaboration with Bunyip Renegades to curate a night full of house music on the first day of July. One of the artists included Dirtybird artist Fritz Carlton and a collection of other talented acts. During this event, they also had local eyewear designers EYELUV selling their unique sunglasses.

4. McMenamins Crystal Ballroom

Crystal Ballroom provides a space for all types of music for Portlanders including electronic music. They have hosted producers such as San Holo and DROELOE. This venue is one of many historic McMenamins hotel spots that have a concert venue attached to it.

Whenever you attend a concert and get to jumping the floor has springs at the bottom giving dancers an extra hop to their jump. This location features exquisite paintings of cherubs and a giant chandelier in the middle of the room. Additionally, it has Lolas room below the dance floor to relax and have a drink.

5. The Haven

The Haven is a creative community space turned club at night featuring artists painting in real-time and live music. This spot in Southeast Portland is another opportunity to bring the music and art community together. It is also the perfect place to express yourself through dance as everyone who attends is polite and will dance just as wildly as you.

Most recently, the Haven worked in collaboration with Objective Collection to host a night full of bass. During this show, they provided attendees with drinks, music, food, and trippy visuals. As well as vendors such as Of One Thread clothing selling their cute clothes and others selling art, jewelry, and beautiful 420 glassware.
