Ghastly Embarks on RV Journey and Promises Pop Up Parties Across the US

Beloved DJ and producer Ghastly announces plans to move into an RV and hit the road, embracing a new lifestyle as a nomadic DJ.

Ghastly has always embodied the weird and the wonderful in the dance music scene. The artist has never seemed to be one to follow trends to try to fit in, instead, he takes a more genuine approach to stardom and life in general. His announcement to hit the road in an RV is truly not a huge surprise, but it is something to celebrate.

In addition to embarking on this nomadic lifestyle, Ghastly has promised that his journey also means pop up shows all over the country. This is the news fans are really tuning in for.

Ghastly shared this news to Twitter a few days ago. His post reads, “Tomorrow Im moving into my RV and beginning a new journey-Dj traveling can be very comfortable but I want to experience life in a much more raw way by seeing everything in between. I’ll be throwing pop up parties across the country in forests, abandoned buildings, backyards, etc.”

It’s unclear if Ghastly will still be working on music while on the road. He recently announced an elusive new side project, GHENGAR. Earlier this year he also promised that 2022 would be full of new music and that some of it would be released under his new GHENGAR moniker. “I’m putting out 3 albums this year. Not all of them will be under the name Ghastly,” he said.

ghastly breakup

The decision to become a nomad follows a recent breakup he went through that really seemed to take a toll on him. Thankfully, fans and fellow DJs/producers have been highly supportive of Ghastly’s recent decision to move into an RV and hit the road. His response to another artist in the Twitter thread reads, “Hell yeah – I’m happy to have people come and perform as well, we’re going full renegade on these shows so let’s have some fun.”

Keep an eye on Ghastly’s socials to find out if he’ll be touching down in your city as he embraces the RV life.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
