Exron Exclusive Interview: Whethan at Electric Forest 2022

Exron loved catching up with electronic music phenomenon Whethan while at Electric Forest 2022. The last time the young sensation played the festival was in 2019, and he’s made some major changes in his sound since then.

Whethan made his first mark on the scene at just 16 years old, when he left high school for a short period to tour with The Chainsmokers. The dance music star was the youngest-ever artist to release music on the Australian label, Future Classic before catching the eye of industry leader Skrillex.

Over the last six years, the talented producer has amassed over 1 billion worldwide streams and counting. In 2020 he shared an incredibly important piece of work, Fantasy, reaching international acclaim.

We discussed the new direction Whethan’s project took during the pandemic, his fresh album Midnight, and how it feels to be a headliner at such a young age in our exclusive interview.
