12th Planet Announces Tour With Rusko Following Sexual Assault Allegations
Dubstep maestros 12th Planet and Rusko announced a co-headline tour, the Dubplate Special.
Rusko and 12th Planet are two names that helped shape the dubstep scene in the early 2000s. Both artists took it to Instagram last week to share the news of their massive co-headling tour. The Dubplate Special tour will be touching down in various US cities including Austin, Philadelphia, Houston, Atlanta, and Portland.
The tour currently includes a total of nine stops from the east to the west coast. However, according to the Dubplate Special flyer, more dates are to be announced.
The announcement of this co-headling tour follows sexual assault allegations that were made against 12th Planet in late 2021. The artist failed to address the allegations for more than a month, leaving fans questioning the validity of the claims. However, he finally broke his silence on the matter, denying all allegations made against him.
Initially, the artist was removed from at least one festival lineup following the allegations. However, 12th Planet has since played several festivals, including EDC Las Vegas, Forbidden Kingdom, and more recently, Electric Forest.
Fans have taken it to social media to express their ongoing distaste for the addition of the DJ to any festival lineups. However, the artist has been able to garner large crowds and support from fans. Despite any prior allegations, any fans of both Rusko and 12th Planet have indicated excitement for the new tour announcement.
According to social media posts made by both artists, fans can expect an old school b2b every night and “loads of original and unreleased tunes.” Rusko and 12th Planet are early dubstep connoisseurs, so fans can expect to witness something unique and nostalgic. Tickets for Rusko and 12th Planet’s Dubplate Special co-headling tour can be purchased directly from the tour’s website.
