Sasha Joins Forces with Eclectic Japanese Talent Qrion for New Single “Dry & High”
As part of Last Night On Earth’s TEN campaign, “Dry & High” is the latest collaboration between Sasha and rising artist, Orion.
As part of his highly acclaimed career milestone, DJ and Producer Sasha combines forces with rising Japanese artist, Orion, on their next single, ‘Dry & High’. This marks a significant point in his music journey as it follows his most recent collaborations with a stacked lineup of artists including Photek, Alex Banks, Mr Sosa, Pumarosa, and more on his imprint, Last Night On Earth’s TEN campaign.
Hailing from North Wales, Sasha has become one of the most internationally esteemed DJs, known for his eclectic fusion of sound production, ranging from house, techno, and trance. Teaming up with Orion this time for a glistening record results in a beautiful display of their synergy working together.
With this latest release, “Dry & High” loads with energy-tinged synth lines and cleanly laid out drum beats, marking both unique artists’ signature of complex layering that results in a deeply hypnotic style of gentle house. The warm pluck sound delivers a truly spontaneous take for the listeners to levitate into a euphoric dancefloor mood.
Sasha was full of praises for the young DJ as they worked on the record together. “I love Qrion’s music and it was great to have her release on the label last year, her track did really well and the fans loved her. I sent her this demo which I’d been toying around with, she really connected with it and I loved what she sent back. We went back and forth on it a bit and it just came together really easily.”
It is not difficult to see why Orion has garnered strong support and the keen attention of many in recent years. She was named DJ Mag’s Future Star 2021 and one of Forbes Japan’s 30 Under 30. Not to mention, her debut LP on Anjunadeep, ‘I Hope It Lasts Forever’ has eluded her impeccable flair in music production, as it achieved a chart recognition on Billboard 20 Best Dance Albums 2021.
There is nothing quite like hearing a collaborative track that radiates such versatility between two highly impressive artists. Listen to ‘Dry & High’ here:
