Alison Wonderland Turns ‘Loner’ Album into Graphic Novel
Producer/ DJ/ songwriter Alison Wonderland works alongside Z2 Comics to bring a multi-dimensional, metaphysical and prismatic experience to ‘Loner’.
Alison Wonderland’s third album ‘Loner’ was born out of a challenging personal chapter. The album holds space for each experience of isolation, loss, panic, and grief. Each lyric slowly flows through, in, out, and around each mellow beat as it harmonizes itself through the melody.
The graphic novel will be a reader-interactive novel that contains an RPG-style module. This style will ensure a fully playable, customizable user experience for fans to empathize with every moment of this new medium for ‘Loner’. Alison shows her beloved fans the mental and emotional movements of prevailing through her lyrics.
The creative force of Z2 Comics’ graphics combined with Alison’s genuine lyrics will bring a first-person view perspective of her journey. Z2 Comics co-founder Sridhar Reddy shared with edm.com:
“At Z2 we’ve always felt the best stories, no matter how fantastical or out there they may be, have to always come from a place of genuine truth. Working with Alison on this project was a gift to the creative team because, like her music, she was truthful and open to the story she wanted to tell. It’s very much her emotional journey, and we count ourselves fortunate to be on this ride with her.
There is a reason why an artist creates their albums in a specific order–It is intended to tell a story. A poetic album like ‘Loner’ transmuted into a graphic novel will be pure magic. The funny thing is, it is impossible to create any expectations with Alison Wonderland because by the law of assumption, you know it is amazing already. More details of the graphic novel will be coming out soon!
