Beatport Announces Inaugural Two-Day ReConnect Summit in New York City

Through the power of love and music, fans continue to support Beatport and its legacy bringing the greater music community together. 

As the global leader of music for DJs, producers, and fans, Beatport exceeds in connecting people while welcoming a grateful space to benefit important causes. The innovative series has kindly raised and donated over $800,000 to charities throughout the world.

Ed Hill, the Senior Vice President of Beatport Media Group, shared “It is our hope that extending and transforming the ReConnect Summit concept into an annual place to exchange ideas about our business, resonates with our community in New York and the U.S. in general”. 

This two-day event will feature live performances, immersive experiences, and intimate discussion panels with renowned leaders from the business and artistic communities of electronic music.

The first wave of partners announced for ReConnect Summit will include Audius, the blockhain-powered audio platform, and PIXELYNX, who will help curate the Web 3.0 and crypto curriculum. The Art of Areté, DanceSafe, and Women in Music, will be hosting intimate curriculums that are involved in health and wellness.

Beatport was originally launched during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 as a 24-hour Livestream with special performances from artists such as Carl Cox, RÜFÜS DU SOL (DJ set), A-Trak, Nora En Pure, etc.

Robb McDaniels, CEO of The Beatport Group stated “the challenges of the pandemic and the response from our global community have exhibited just how vibrant and resilient our culture is,”. Robb also commented on how ReConnect Summit was born with the intention to help keep our community thriving during the pandemic.

ReConnect Summit will take place at 74 Wythe located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. After joining the various speaker and networking sessions during the day, conference-goers are able to enjoy the exclusive live performances from the world’s top DJs.
