Kaskade Gets Fast and Furious in Ride Along with Three-Time Formula Drift Champion at GRIDLIFE

Before his set at GRIDLIFE, Kaskade drifted into a not to be missed ride with Formula Drift Champion, Chris Forsberg. 

Kaskade rode alongside Chris Forsberg, at GRIDLIFE earlier this month on Gingerman Raceway in South Haven, MI. Ryan Raddon, better known as, Kaskade, went on a ride of a lifetime, full throttling to new heights. Raddon, two-time winning “America’s Best DJ“, began his career in 1995, and is still going strong.  Kaskade and Forsberg follow a similar thread of being kingpins in their respective crafts. 

Three-time Formula Drift Champion, Chris Forsberg, is no stranger to fast cars and the need for speed, a force to be wrecking with behind the wheel. Self-taught, Forsberg, has competed in every round of the Formula Drift since 2004. Chris not only races but also owns Forsberg Racing where he manages the shop and is the lead driver. 

Headlining the sold-out Motorsports Music Festival GRIDLIFE Midwest, Kaskade, met up with Chris before his set hoping in a 1200HP Drift car, and scored to “Let Me Go v3,” Kaskade’s hit single. 2014 marked the first event for GRIDLIFE at Gingerman Raceway with 220 drivers and 1500 spectators. This year marks the utmost attendance to date, including noteworthy bloggers and the most size-able grip racing and drift fields. 

Furthermore, this two-night high-speed festival fused leading industry professionals, a first-rate car show, freestyle open drift sessions,  plus a riveting festival junket. The festival stages were graced by renowned DJs like JOYRYDE, Kaskade, and Kavinksy. Hailing from France, the US hadn’t seen Kavinksy perform since 2013. 

The Grammy-nominated DJ and producer, Kaskade, grew up in Chicago and fine-tuned his DJ expertise in his dorm room at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He started his DJ career in the basement of Club Manhattan spinning for his first monthly Monday night party. Later he began working for John Elkins as an A&R assistant for Om Records in San Francisco. 

Since then Kaskade has solidified himself across the decades as a foundational powerhouse in the EDM community. Collaborating with major artists Tiesto, David Guetta, and Calvin Harris. He is currently on tour till December 10th, playing at clubs and festivals including Escapade Music Festival, Lollapalooza, and Freaky Deaky.
