Carl Cox Reveals Why He Selected NYC’s Electric Zoo For Rare US Stage Takeover

After an 11-year hiatus from the iconic New York festival, Carl Cox is making his huge return to Electric Zoo with a stage takeover.

Carl Cox, the King of Ibiza, will be gracing Electric Zoo 3.0 festival-goers with his presence for the first time in over a decade, this Labor Day weekend 2022, at Randall’s Island Park, NY. The British house and techno DJ will not only be a rare headliner for the end-of-summer event, but he will also be curating the festival with some of his own special invites.

When asked about curating the lineup, the living legend stated, “I have been curating lineups for many years now, and for Ezoo, I wanted to have a very special lineup all about the music that each DJ artist represents. I know that this will be an amazing time for all who see and hear us play, which the party people in New York City will appreciate.”

Carl Cox went on to explain his excitement for his big return to Electric Zoo 2022, stating, “I cannot believe, its been 11 years since i was last there for EZoo, wow! It’s mind-blowing right? I have great memories of being there the last time, and remembering how amazing the crowd was towards my music, even then.”

This summer’s final festival will see a takeover from a unique house and techno lineup, including artists from all over the globe. The incredibly talented offering includes DJ Holographic, Loco Dice, Charles Meyer, Chelina Manuhutu, and Andrea Olivia B2B Ilario Alicante. Carl Cox has hand-selected these artists to takeover Electric Zoo 2022 with him because he has either worked with them in some capacity and/or he knows what a force of energy they will be to the September festival.

Excited about the upcoming festival, Carl Cox stated, “I think what will make this stage so amazing is that all the artists are coming from different parts of the world and bring the vibe and the passion for playing music as a collective.”
