Bender Gone Wrong: John Summit Gets His Wallet Stolen in Ibiza

While enjoying a week in Ibiza, John Summit finds himself wallet-less but keeps the party going. 

John Summit gets his wallet stolen while enjoying a week-long stay in Spain after arriving at a local club. Summit took to social media, last week, tweeting the circumstance of this unforeseen event. Though frustrated his spirits were high “all I need in life is a 4×4 kick drum and a banging sound system.” Living his best-unhinged life Summit pleaded on Instagram for the return of his wallet and his dignity. 

In the past years, Summit has left an impression on the EDM community from accountant to world-renowned DJ. Originally from Chicago, Summit made his way on the dance music scene with his first single in 2017 ‘Girl.‘ Since then his track ‘Human‘ reached #1 on US Dance radio. In 2021 Summit was the top-selling artist across all genres on Beatport, including his 5 million monthly Spotify listeners.

While at Coachella this year he unveiled his newest release ‘Escape’ Remix, a collaboration with Kaskade and deadmau5. After receiving a dm via Instagram from Kaskade, “Hey love that you’re playing “escape” (praise emoji twice) would love to get you to remix it I’m seeing all that you’re doing is (fire emoji).” The rest is music history. 

His massive sound matches his high energy making him a sought-after performer, that fans can’t get enough of. Summit’s live on-stage performances, draw the masses, getting lost in a trance, dancing till 6:00 am. He recently played at Parklife on the Defected Records stage. After, he took to Instagram to reflect on the experience, “I love when I get to play the Defected Records stage I get to go a bit houser than normal and the vibes are always unreal”

This year he plans to tour across the world, spreading his love for music to all his fans. Besides hitting up Coachella this year he will be on stage at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Tomorrowland, 2022 has been a fantastic year for Summit. Most recently Summit has created his label/event brand Off the Grid. We can anticipate a lot more from this thriving music giant.
