Sofi Tukker Forced To Postpone Tour Again Due to Positive Covid Test

Iconic dance-electronic duo Sofi Tukker postponed the Seattle and Portland stops of their tour due to a positive Covid test from Tucker.

Just three weeks into their WET TENNIS tour in support of their new album, Sofi Tukker was forced to postpone two shows as Tucker, one half of the duo, came down with Covid. A week prior, the music group canceled three other North American tour stops due to Sophie testing positive for Covid. Montreal, Toronto, and Detroit were among the cancelations.

For this latest string of postponed shows, the duo says, “Ugh. Unfortunately due to yet another COVID case in our band (soph got it before and now tuck ?) and touring party, our shows in Portland & Seattle are postponed ??. Touring in the time of COVID has been challenging and we are gutted about this, but need to keep our crew and fans safe, especially because there are some who are immunocompromised.”

Of course, fans are happy to know the artists are acting responsibly and in the best interest of everyone’s health, however, that doesn’t negate the disappointment many feel. Luckily for Seattle and Portland locals, Sofi Tukker is already planning to reschedule the respective shows. New dates have yet to be announced, but the pair reminds fans to look out for updates, “Please stay tuned for future announcements on rescheduled dates.”

In other hopeful news, Sofi Tukker and their team are doing everything in their power to stay safe and healthy and to ensure no additional shows will be affected. On that matter, their post reads, “We are doing everything possible to be safe and healthy so that these will be the only shows we’ll need to reschedule for the rest of this tour.”

Sophie has been supporting Tucker on their Instagram page, sharing a photo of Tucker with an update for fans. Apparently, Tucker had a rough day but is staying strong.

As of now, the WET TENNIS tour is set to pick back up this Thursday, June 16th. Sofi Tukker will be performing at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California. Tickets are available for purchase here

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
