NGHTMRE Recruits Olympic Skater Elliot Sloan for “The One” Music Video Ahead of Debut Album

Nghtmre & Olympic Skater Elliot Sloan Team Up For Music Video For “The One.”

GUD VIBRATIONS co-founder NGHTMRE has partnered up with American producer KLAXX and Olympic skateboarder Elliot Sloan for the music video for “The One”. The psychedelic video follows the three collaborates and their friends as they skate around a park and through NGHTMRE’s ‘DRMVRSE‘ 

This record is the second single that has been released from NGHTMRE’s upcoming debut album. Subsequently, this release follows “Fall Into Me” which was released back in March and features both Slander and singer Dylan Matthew.  

In regards to the video, it captures it’s viewers attention with the experimental sounds of “The One” while giving viewers a glimpse into the ‘DRMVRSE’. The ‘DRMVRSE’ concept went live at NGHTMRE’s headlining show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in April. This show contained all new visuals, merchandise and a brochure that had a special code that gave access to unreleased music.

The video jumps around from a skatepark, to a desert and eventually to a massive outdoor halfpipe park. In particular, the scenes at the halfpipe park took place at X Games medalist Elliot Sloan’s house in Vista, CA. The video contains florescent colors and graphics as the three guys follow each other from place to place.

This collaboration with NGHTMRE and Elliot isn’t the first time the two creatives have teamed up. In 2020, the two produced a live-streamed event called The Highlands which Insomniac events hosted. Furthermore, the event featured electronic producers Ghastly and Wavedash with other legendary skaters such as Tony Hawk.

Last but not least, when speaking about “The One” NGHTMRE added ““The One” really gives me a nostalgic feeling while listening to it. We tried to capture that in the video as well. The vibe is a nostalgic day skating around the DRMVRSE with friends”. He continued “If you pay attention closely, You’ll start to notice recurring characters in all the DRMVRSE videos. I’m extremely excited to release this piece of the story”.
