Evan Giia Uses “All Women Crew” to Produce New Music Video for Single “Rabbit Hole”
The up-and-coming electronic pop artist Evan Giia let fans behind the scenes on the all-women talent that made her new project possible.
Evan Giia, a genre-bending electronic pop artist, recently posted a video on Instagram where she spoke candidly about the process of ideating, producing, and creating her all-women-made new musical project.
The creation involved a team of three women. Including her, a female stylist, and creative director Xkylar who helped design the set.
Evan Giia praised Xkylar for being a ‘one-woman show’ and coming through to complete her vision practically solo. Giia also praised her stylist for helping her feel confident and for perfectly executing her mood board.
The mood board, which was briefly shown in the video, included Dua Lipa, Alternative R&B artist Alex Mali, and other photos of neon-hued sets and costumes.
Alex Mali even noticed her inclusion in the mood board and commented on the video in support. Saying, “not me on your moodboard. Giaaaaaaa *green heart emoji* *black heart emoji* (also, you guys killed it).”
The set ended up consisting of a hot pink workout bike in front of an aesthetically pleasing pink and blue backdrop. The workout bike Xkylar spray painted herself to meet Giia’s vision.
The outfit her stylist cooked up was an elevated black body suit with leg warmers, white sneakers, and dripped in jewels and crystals. Kinda like if Kim Kardashian had an award show at 8 and a spin class at 9.
The set and costuming made sense for Giia who used to be a spin instructor prior to music. Now with this project, she is combining her passion for making people move musically and physically.
Giia was thrilled with the results and claimed her all-women team helped elevate her artistry to another level. A level she has been aiming for but just looking for the right women to help get her there.
