Big Gigantic Prepares For Eighth Studio Album with New Single “Losing My Mind” Featuring Brooke Williams
Boulder, Colorado-based duo Big Gigantic teases fans with a taste of ‘Brighter Future 2’ by showcasing a heavenly soundscape and blissful vocals.
Founded by saxophonist/ producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken, Big Gigantic embodies an authentic sound with an eccentric fusion of electronica, hip-hop, pop, and jazz. Following the release of their 2016 breakthrough LP ‘Brighter Future’, the genre-bending group has only elevated their sound in the electronic scene with their new single release “Losing My Mind”.
Despite its upbeat happy essence, “Losing My Mind” exemplifies a deeper meaning for Big Gigantic. Dominic Lalli reveals “It seems happy and beautiful, but it’s lyrically rather sad…It goes in a different direction than you might expect”.
The vulnerability of losing your mind could feel like you are sleepwalking down the side of the road. Big Gigantic unveils the true colors of ‘Brighter Future 2’ with lyrics such as “Losing my mind, looking for the light at the end of the tunnel. I just want to hide instead of facing my troubles”.
‘Brighter Future 2’ will include prominent singles such as “Just the Same” (With Vic Mensa & Mick Jenkins), “Deja Vu (With KOTA The Friend)”, Big Gigantic x GRiZ’s single “Open Your Mind,”. Big Gigantic will also include their collaboration with Grammy Award-nominated rapper Aloe Blacc with the song “Keep On Rising”.
The genre-bending duo will be celebrating the release of their album ‘Brighter Future 2’ with a wide-ranging live schedule beginning July 6 at Salt Lake City, UT’s The Complex. The group will also be performing at famous festivals this summer such as Michigan’s Electric Forest (Sunday, June 26th) and their 10th annual headline event Rowdytown X at Morrison, CO’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
“Losing My Mind” is available now at all DSPs and streaming services. Each person who pre-saves the new single will be entered to win four tickets to any Big Gigantic show on his 2022 tour. There will also be an opportunity to buy a limited edition double LP printed on 180g light blue galaxy vinyl.
