What So Not Claims Oliver Tree is “Ruining his Life” by Not Signing off on Collab

What So Not hints at a new album but throws a rant about singer-songwriter Oliver Tree, who refuses to sign off on their track, “Mr Regular”.

The word is out. Australian DJ Producer, What So Not, announces that his new album is on the way. However the not-so-great news was shared via his Instagram post. It was a video of his rant about one of the collaborations on the record, “Mr Regular”, which was produced with American singer-songwriter, Oliver Tree. While the leaked demo was adored by many, it did not get the approval stamp from the latter for release despite clamoring it for the past year.

In a bold declarative video post, What So Not has openly tagged Oliver Tree and claimed that he his album is on hold because the latter has yet to sign off on their track, “Mr Regular”. He goes on to share in detail that they made a couple of amazing songs, where “Mr Regular” was leaked and people “absolutely loved it”. Not holding back on his frustrations, What So Not continues to lash out that Oliver Tree is “ruining his f**king life”.

Towards the end of the video, What So Not made a plea to his fans to tag Oliver Tree and get him to hear their anticipation for the new record. It was evident that the fans were highly responsive as they began to profusely flood the comment section with tags and emojis, signaling their intense excitement. What So Not also further proved his story by sharing a screenshot of his FaceTime call to Oliver Tree, which was met with a null response.

Whether this was meant to be an album tease or a stunt to promote their new collaboration remains to be seen. Perhaps, it could be a genuine frustration on part of the Australian creative forcer, who has not released a full solo album in a while. What is undeniably true is the significant accomplishments that he has marked within the industry for the last decade as 2021 solidifies a 10-year anniversary for the talented producer.
