Gareth Emery Returns To The Brooklyn Mirage With Beloved Metropolis Festival

UK trance producer and DJ Gareth Emery will bring the second edition of Metropolis to New York City this Memorial Day Weekend.

Gareth Emery has been a household name in trance and progressive house for nearly two decades. He has graced the stages of major festivals across America, more recently having stopped through Ultra Miami to debut his Analog set. Currently on a high after his LSR/CITY show in Las Vegas for EDC week, which acts as the successor to his coveted Laserface project, Gareth is gearing up for the stacked show in Brooklyn next weekend.

With the new renovations at the Brooklyn Mirage, including a larger-than-life LED wall, Gareth Emery has the perfect backdrop to shower heavenly trance music down on fans all night. The legendary producer has enlisted some of the most sought-after names in trance and progressive house for his festival, including Tritonal, Ashley Wallbridge, Aly & Fila, MaRLo, and Emma Hewitt.

Metropolis will span across two stages, giving each artist a chance to play two sets. Last year, the main stage stayed true to the festival feeling and the smaller stage featured deeper, more intimate sets from each artist. According to Gareth, he’s planning to carry the same energy into this year’s Metropolis, with each artist having the opportunity to express a more experimental side to their discography.

For those who missed out on Metropolis’ debut in 2021, now is your opportunity to redeem yourself at one of the most epic trance events to ever touch down in New York City.

Round two of Metropolis will take place this Sunday, May 29th at The Brooklyn Mirage. Doors for the event open at 8 PM. Tickets are currently available for purchase through DICE. However, with the event expected to sell out, tickets will not last much longer.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!

What's your reaction?
