It’s 2022 and the idea of a throuple is no longer a surprise. In fact, Seven Lion’s throuple with Emma Montalvo and Courtney Simmons is a shining example of a happy and healthy poly-relationship.
Emma and Seven Lions are married but introduced Courtney into their relationship in 2019 and have been going strong ever since. From this connection between the ladies came the birth of their DJ duo alias, Gem & Tauri.

The ladies are on a steady rise in popularity playing opening sets for their man on the Seven Lions’ Pantheon tour across major US cities. Recently Gem & Tauri played their first headlining set at this year’s Beyond Wonderland and are booked to play several more festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Global Dance Festival, Electric Zoo, North Coast, and Dancefestopia.
It was recently Emma’s birthday and Courtney posted a sweet and loving tribute to her girlfriend. Her caption reads, “Happy birthday to this cutie and love of my life! I am so proud of you and love you more every day. You are so kind and generous and wise. We have been through so much together. I am so grateful that you love me and we can be so weird and unapologetically ourselves. I love all of our adventures together! Cheers to more amazing years of growth and laughs and kisses.”
Gem & Tauri continue to carve out a space for themselves in the melodic techno space with the help and support from Seven Lions. With the backing of Opehlia Records these ladies are on a trajectory for stardom.
