Above and Beyond Launches Brand New Ambient Label Reflections

Electronic music trio Above and Beyond celebrates ambient and downtempo music with their new imprint, Reflections.

Above and Beyond are most known for their fast tempo, dance floor bangers. But now, the group is adding to their repertoire with a label focused on ambient music called Reflections.

In a statement on the trio’s Instagram, they wrote a heartfelt message about what this project means to them, and what it can mean for their fans. The message shows just how much their artistry has evolved over their two-decade-long career.

“Our two record labels, @anjunabeats and @anjunadeep were born on the dancefloor. For over 20 years these labels have taken us, our music and our artists, to dancefloors across the world. The third Anjuna record label is our new downtempo and ambient imprint called Reflections, and we are delighted to share it with you. Reflections is born from all those moments in between the dancefloors – the mornings after, the nights apart, the journeys shared along the way. Those moments of Reflection.”

Jono, Pavo, and Tony, who are the three behind Above and Beyond, Anjunabeats, and Anjunadeep, want their new label to bring listeners peace. Allowing them to sleep, focus, and relax.

In fact, Sleep, Focus, and Relax are the names of their first three playlists under the Reflections label.

Sleep is a playlist obviously focused on aiding your rest. Through songs of their own, like “Small Moments – Edit”, and songs of others, this playlist is there to wind you down after a long day.

Focus keeps with the ambient genre, however, adds a more upbeat spin. This playlist is meant for times when you need to get work done but need to get in the mood first. A perfect backdrop to working from home – or an upbeat yoga session.

Relax falls closer to the sleep playlist than focus. However, it is more upbeat and won’t put you to sleep as fast. It’s perfect for working from home as well or for a casual midday stroll.

All in all, the brand aims to be a lifestyle brand just as much as a music brand. Showing listeners there is more to music than just music.
