Virtual Self b2b G Jones Slated For Historic Performance at Second Sky Festival

Porter Robinson enlists G Jones for a special b2b performance at Second Sky.

This Halloween weekend, Second Sky Music Festival returns for its third edition with a unique and all-encompassing lineup. In collaboration with Goldenvoice, Porter Robinson specially curates the lineup each year to include some of his favorite creators–artists he knows his fans will adore just as much as he does.

This year, Porter plans to bring back his elusive side project, Virtual Self, this time with G Jones by his side on the decks. A never-before-seen back-to-back performance, G Jones b2b Virtual Self, will attract fans far and wide to the Bay Area this fall.

Illusory Records label boss and experimental bass pioneer G Jones has just come off his first North American tour since the pandemic. The legendary producer typically plays solo unless, of course, he’s working alongside his long-time friend and collaborator Eprom. He and Eprom recently shared their collaboration, “On My Mind,” ahead of their forthcoming EP, ‘Acid Disk 2’. 

Porter Robinson, on the other hand, is still on a high after releasing his second studio album, ‘Nurture,’ this past year. He also got engaged to the love of his life, Rika Mikuriya, not too long ago.

Porter has been putting energy into his new side project, air2earth, which debuted at Second Sky last year. However, 2022 marks the return of his coveted side project, Virtual Self, for an exclusive performance alongside G Jones. Porter Robinson will be busy this summer planning a festival but is also making time to stop at EDC Las Vegas, Bonnaroo, Beyond Wonderland, and Electric Forest.

Second Sky Music Festival has already revealed that will feature tastemakers like RL Grime, Fred again…, and Hudson Mohawke. Presale for the festival will begin on Friday, May 13th at 10 AM PST. To register for presale and for festival updates, visit Second Sky Festival’s website.
