Virtual Riot’s Wife Issues Apology After Claiming She was “Pushed” by Lektrique

Virtual Riot’s wife, who goes by @officialmissneko on Instagram, has apologized to dubstep DJ Lektrique after sharing photos of bruising and making false claims that he and his friends had physically harmed her.

Virtual Riot’s wife, Johanna, shared a series of posts to her Instagram story on Monday, detailing her relationship with her husband and a few others which turned sour. Evidence on social media suggests that Johanna, Virtual Riot, Lektrique, and a woman named Ava Clover were involved in a polyamorous relationship that began sometime in 2020. According to Ava’s Instagram, @avaclover, she and Lektrique are married.

On her Instagram stories, Johanna shared photos of bruising on her knee, with a caption that suggests Lektrique was responsible for the injuries. Her caption reads, “Bruise Vincent sergeant Aka @lektrique inflicted on me today. He wanted to prevent me from seeing my husband @officialvirtualriot.” In another photo showing the bruising, Johanna used the hashtag #savevirtualriot and claimed that she’s losing her husband to a “drug house.”

Lektrique shared a video to Twitter of Johanna aggressively kicking the front door of their home with her knee, appearing as if she was attempting to gain entry. According to Johanna’s account, the people inside the home had her dog. She claims, “Suddenly 3 of the people who live there pushed me out into their garden, arguing. I fell on the concrete floor with my knee.”

Johanna’s Instagram stories also accuse Ava Clover, who is Virtual Riot’s tour manager and girlfriend, of being instrumental in getting her husband addicted to various drugs such as ketamine, Xanax, and Adderall. She also accuses Ava of animal abuse, sharing videos that she suggests are evidence of the abuse.

The following day, Johanna posted an update retracting her statement that Lektrique had physically harmed her. She publicly apologized to Lektrique for making erroneous claims against him. Her caption reads, “I want to apologize to Vincent @lektrique.” She goes on, “He has nothing to do with drugs and he did not assault me. He is not responsible for the bruise on my knee. I’m so sorry I portrayed him in this light. He has been nothing but kind to me, during the time I knew him.”

Johanna has also retracted her statement about Ava Clover, noting “Please don’t let that influence how you see her. She does not abuse her dog or any animal.” She goes on, “No one was trying to control Valentin @officialvirtualriot No one pushed drugs on him ever.”

Virtual Riot has not commented on the incident at this time.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
