Buku Embodies the Dancefloor with High Octane Single “Mr. Clean”
Pittsburgh native DJ and producer Buku has made his prophetic return to WAKAAN by showcasing his natural ability to inspire bass music further outside the box in “Mr. Clean”
Better known by his stage name Buku, Robert Balotsky is a gifted sound architect with a well-rounded ear for designing serpentine soundscapes layered through mellifluent melodies and detailed drum beats. Artists such as Diplo have indisputably described Balotsky’s genre-diverse production style as “where dubstep is going”.
“Mr. Clean” was inspired to be created for the dance floor after Buku’s time spent working on the darker, more twisted energies that “Grey Matter” brought. This new single’s boundless echo shows that peace can be discovered on the verge of chaos when you surrender to the light-hearted edge of bass music.
Through his conscientious sound design and clinical precision, Buku has justifiably set the tone for modern dance music. Fans should definitely expect the bold wavelengths and catchy chorus of “Mr. Clean” to be a staple set song this 2022 festival season.
As Buku finishes up his direct support on the PEEKABOO Black Hole Tour, the studio rat will be taking up creative space to focus on writing new music. With previous collaborations with brilliant artists such as Paper Diamond, G. Jones, Minnesota, Griz, Nick Catchdubs, Brillz, Tropkillaz & The Knocks, it is irrefutable at this point that Buku ever plans on disappointing us. He simply just can not.
Even though Buku will be taking space from a heavy touring schedule, fans should expect to hear samples of his unreleased music this festival season. Buku will be touring this season to festivals including Forbidden Kingdom, Project Z, Interstellar, and the renowned Red Rocks Amphitheater for Global Dub Festival.
