Dirtybird Wows with Metaverse Nightclub ‘Birdhain’ Complete with Exclusive Island and Performance by Claude VonStroke
Dirtybird launches a metaverse, inside the the metaverse exists the sick techno club Birdhain, and a man with face tattoos.
Dirtybird, helmed by California-based legend Claude VonStroke, is doing some pretty interesting things in the space of electronic dance music. The beloved, quirky record label recently launched a 24-hour club within their previously launched “Birdyverse,” an overt play on the record labels’ infamous name and the increasingly popular metaverse.
Attendees can enter and explore the Birdyverse by connecting any NFT within their metamask wallet. While in the Birdyverse, little birdies can jump, walk, chit chat, chirp, and explore the island, which sits in the middle of the ocean, a hidden topical oasis deep within the ethers of the internet. Inside this metaverse exists said 24-hour club, only available to Dirtybird Flight Club bird holders. For those unfamiliar with Dirtybird Fight Club, it’s a collection of 9090 NFTs generated from more than 250 traits by the preeminent muralist Birdcap.
The club is playfully titled “Birdhain,” an ode to the world’s most infamous and depraved techno club “Berghain,” located in Berlin, Germany. Although the theme of the Birdyverse is beachy, the delineation of Berhain is more ambiguous and enigmatic than the label’s take on the metaverse. And although Birdhain touts a strict no entrance policy for non-Fight Club holders, all radical birds are welcome to check out the metaverse and perhaps the collection of 9090 NFTs.
The club’s launch took place on April 13th and was complemented but the full Dirtybird roster, including performances from Claude himself, Nikki Nair, Catz ‘n Dogz, John Tejada, Justin Jay, Nala, Mz Worthy, Walker & Royce and more. When commenting on the club, Dirtybird had some thought-provoking insights to share with the world. “Think of it as the very first 24-hour Dirtybird broadcast sound system where you can enter the club and hang out with your friends or simply listen to the music while you do your taxes.”
