Shambhala Makes Post-Covid Return with Stacked 2022 Lineup Featuring Surprise Mystery Headliner
Shambhala Music Festival Has Officially Released A Portion Of Its Lineup For This Summer’s Event, Including Some Extremely Talented Djs And Artists, With 100s Of Additional Artists On The Way
British Columbia’s giant electronic music event is back for the summer season! Shambhala Music Festival is making its return this summer for its 23rd edition. After a mandatory postponement in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival, as well as many other festivals, was forced to delay the massive event to an unknown date. The event had already sold 70% of its tickets when the 2020 postponement came, so there aren’t a lot of tickets left for the huge 2022 event.
The Shambhala Music Festival will be held from July 22nd to July 25th at Salmo River Ranch, in Salmo. Past performers ranged from Silk City (Diplo and Mark Ronson), Zed’s Dead, Zhu, Kaskade, and more.
With the first return of the Canadian festival since 2019, Shambhala will headline the likes of What So Not, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Valentino Khan, DJ Premier, Tokimonsta, Slander, Cordae, and more. Festival directors are keeping one of the major headliners a surprise until the festival begins, leaving fans to wonder who the exciting headliner could possibly be.
Founder Jimmy Bundschuh is also very excited for the return of the Shambhala Music Festival. When asked about the return, he had this to say: “To say we are thrilled to be back is an understatement. To a lot of us, Shambhala is way more than just a festival. It’s a place where we come back to connect with old friends and make new memories, and to have been starved of that over the last two years has been tough.”
The festival directors stated that more than 100 additional acts will be announced as the festival draws nearer. While majority of the tickets are already gone, fans can still purchase their tickets for Shambhala here, for $525 CAD or $416.48 USD.
