Malaa’s Show Gets Shut Down by NYPD on Final Stop on Illegal Tour
Malaa just wrapped his sold-out “Illegal Tour” but it came with an unfortunate end.
Malaa’s “Illegal Tour” was about giving the people what they want, and what they want is music. No thoughts, no gimmicks, just vibes.
The Jack Daniels-loving Frenchman packed out warehouse-like venues across the map bringing the best of his beats to the masses. The two-month tour also included appearances at festivals like illfest, Ultra Miami, and EDC Mexico.
For the grand finale, Malaa was set to play his final stop in NYC. Unfortunately, NYPD shut the place down before it could even start.
The reason for being shut down is unconfirmed, but some speculate that the venue did not have a liquor license to serve alcohol. Angry fans chanted Malaa’s name in hopes of an appearance, but the venue was flooded with cops and disbanded the crowd before it got too rowdy.
Have you ever heard Malaa speak before? Check out the video below.

I’m sorry for all my fans
I’m mad to end this tour like this but this is the risk of being Illegal…
The illegal tour is different you know
it’s rough, its all about the music & the vibes…No gimmicks ! pic.twitter.com/AMsirYV0qU
For a man with not a lot of words, Malaa broke his silence to speak about the situation that night. Leaving the venue he shares, “The walk of f**king shame. The venue got shut down by the cops for one reason or another. D**n it. Too Illegal for this d**n tour.”
It is unclear if fans will be getting a refund, but ticketholders will be contacted to work out a future solution. It is just the start of festival season and with no breaks at all, Malaa is already working on his next big announcement and promises to make up for the lost time in NYC.
