Electro-Techno Talent Where’s Rin Shares Fresh Take On Synthwave Sound With “Gravity”
There’s an unseen force pulling us in, and it might be “Gravity” by Where’s Rin and Howiezi.
The rising electro-techno artist has released a hypnotizing new single, “Gravity,” by Wheres Rin featuring Howiezi. The song is six minutes of pure escapism, seriously pulling you in like gravity. After just hitting play, you enter an underground nightclub 100 years in the future.
The repeated lyrics, “we are all connected by tides around the world being pushed and pulled by unseen force that stretches out to the moon,” fit the song’s vibe perfectly and add an extra edge to the track.
The edge is reminiscent of 90s acid techno, in which Where’s Rin draws inspiration.
“Many of my sound designs are inspired by acid techno from the 90s. The bass lines for this track are something I have always wanted to make; it’s straightforward but has a lot of character. I wanted to have a track for listeners who may be new to the genre.”
This mindset makes sense for Where’s Rin, who wants to emulate the type of fandom and community his idols built.
“I got hooked on techno when I started listening to i_o. He always made techno almost mainstream and drew new people to this fantastic genre. He has and always will be one of my biggest inspirations.”
Where’s Rin has been producing for six years from an electronic production standpoint and djing for three years after missing the performance aspect of music. Since childhood, he has also played music, taking piano, guitar, and bass lessons.
Since the start of his electronic music career, he has played at Celine, Studio 27, TK Lounge, Mad Chillers, and Sage the World.
Now, the Tampa-based DJ and producer is on a mission to bridge the gap of techno, both techno and house music, in the Florida dance music scene. This track proves he is on his way.
