DOKKODO Reveals Lo-Fi Masterpiece “Between Us”

Lo-fi music maestro Dokkodo reveals stunning masterpiece “Between Us” from his upcoming EP slated for April 2022

UK-based, lo-fi music maestro, Thomas Trueman a.k.a Dokkodo, returns with another masterpiece release “Between Us”. Out on DRRT Records, this is the first track from his upcoming EP “No Feeling Is Final”, set for an April release.

“Between Us” has a very intimate, and calming atmosphere. Dokkodo makes music that is truly spontaneous. He has a skillfully crafted style that marries organic sounds with original samples and hypnotic, almost mantra-like riffs. The acoustic guitar, surrounded by what feels like a whole world of breathing elements, definitely holds a central spot in this first single.

Set to drop a track from the EP every two weeks, Dokkodo wants to have listeners enter a lush journey washed with a robust soundscape. He demonstrates his dynamic capabilities in all his music offerings, which evoke a sense of jubilation and calm. Each track swelters with his signature crisp and harmonious melodies.

Known for making lo-fi songs with polished beats and an unforgettable ambient aural, the producer and sound designer got his unique electronic moniker from the book “The Dokkodo (The Way of Walking Alone)” by Miyamoto Musashi. He stays true to the message of the narrative, which aims to convey the art of living life to the fullest. This is reflected through the calming nature of the downtempo songs he is best known for.

With all the chaos and uncertainty that surrounds the world right now, Dokkodo’s music brings a sense of heartwarming comfort. The first single is also evident that he is only just getting started. Besides lecturing at Leeds Conservatoire on Music Production courses, he is also focused on giving back to the producer community. Starting with a competition for the first single, entries that use the track “Between Us” as a reel story on Instagram will stand a chance to have their own music guidance and feedback from the prolific music guru personally.
