Coucou Chloe Performs Sold Out Show In Los Angeles

The French artist continues her North American tour at a sold out show in Los Angeles.

Coucou Chloe brought her signature sound and deconstructed club music to The Echo in Los Angeles on March 4th, last Friday. The French artist’s sold-out show drew an eclectic and fashion-forward crowd to the intimate and well-known venue.

Although on the small side, the venue contained just the right energy for Coucou Chloe’s sound to thrive. Taking full advantage of the multiple disco balls, fog machines, and multi-colored strobe lights to enhance her sound and stage presence.

The show opened with a DJ set from DJ Topgun, who captured the crowd’s attention with familiar songs, songs of his own, and a sneak peek at a yet-to-be-released song called ‘Switchblade.’

After his set, experimental rapper Hook took the mic with a demanding stage presence and high energy performance. Getting that same energy back that she was exuding in her music – creating a mosh pit that formed near the stage.

The star of the night was, of course, Coucou Chloe. Supported by DJ Topgun for her performance, the French-born, London-based artist had the crowd jumping and dancing to her beats.

The artist performed fan favorites like ‘WIZZ,’ ‘FREEZE,’ and ‘ZERO FIVE STARS.’ As well as an unreleased highly-personal song that she had to cut short, so that her emotions didn’t overwhelm her.

However, the song everyone was waiting to hear was her remix of ‘Stupid Love’ by Lady Gaga. The remix that launched her career to a new level and solidified her position as an up-and-coming leader in the electronic and hyperpop adjacent scenes.

The hit was a part of Lady Gaga’s “Chromatica” Remix Album “Dawn of Chromatica” that included artists like Bree Runway, LSDXOXO, Charli XCX, BLACKPINK, Arca, Doss, Lil Texas, and her long time collaborator Shygirl. All internationally acclaimed trailblazers in the music scene Coucou Chloe finds herself a part of.

The crowd was so eager to hear this song that when multiple fans had shouted ‘Stupid Love” at her, she had to stop the music to tell them that it was indeed coming funnily and sarcastically.

After performing the hit Coucou Chloe closed out the night by inviting the crowd onstage to surround the turntable for an intimate feel-good DJ set.

Coucou Chloe finished her North American Tour in Brooklyn, New York, on March 5th. We can only hope to expect more live performances from the act. As well as more music from her and her music collective Nuxxe with Sega Bodega and Shygirl.
