Diplo Crashes Little League Game to Play Impromptu Rave
Diplo strikes again with a surprise rave at an LA park.
Seemingly being at the center of almost every party around the world, Diplo worked his magic to host a spontaneous concert at a Los Angeles park this week. The omnipresent DJ picked a spot that many would look over— already having a little league game in the works, older folks doing yoga, and a 12-year-old’s birthday party.
This impromptu show is not the first for the infamous DJ. Within the past month, he’s hosted two other pop-up shows in LA, with both almost being shut down by the police. Most notability, he played a surprise seven hour set on the beach of Costa Rica with nothing but airport earbuds, a tiny controller, and a generator.
However, the sporadic movements of Diplo may not be as uncalculated as they seem. Returning with his first full-length dance music LP since 2004’s, ‘Florida,’ Diplo is bringing a fleet of special guests to his project. Miguel, SIDEPIECE, Amtrac, and Lil Yatchy are just a few of the superstars set to be on the upcoming, self-titled album releasing March 4th, 2022.
Diplo’s versatility is unmatched in music. In just three years, he has released psychedelic pop, tech house, country, ambient, and afrobeat projects. The man seems to go wherever his ear takes him, showing his passion for music of all genres.
If you’re in the Los Angeles area, it might be a good time to turn on your notifications from Diplo. With the release of his new album coming soon, you never know when he’ll strike with a surprise show again.
