Dirtybird Partners With Point Blank Music School For Equal Opportunity Scholarship Program

To champion the art of next-generation BIPOC producers, Dirtybird Records has partnered with Point Blank Music School to launch its second annual scholarship program. The scholarship program is not only a philanthropic effort to give artists of all demographics and ages a platform, but it’s also a community strengthening experience as well. The scholarship program was curated to be a six-month, equal-opportunity program – it strives to espouse inclusivity and diversity in dance music. The scholarship specifically targets those with limited resources, and it would give marginalized demographics a chance to gain mentorship in terms of both business and artistic production from industry heavy hitters.

The recipient of the scholarship will participate in Point Blank’s 6-month virtual production program. The selected winner will cultivate his or her craft by learning to produce professionally. To compete for the scholarship, the applicant will need to submit letters of recommendation, an essay, video submissions, as well as conduct an interview with Dirtybird personnel.
