Wax Motif Reveals Highly-Anticipated Debut Album ‘House of Wax’ On Divided Souls Imprint

WAX MOTIF REVEALS ECLECTIC DEBUT ALBUM ‘HOUSE OF WAX’ SHOWCASING THE BEST OF BASS-HOUSE SOUND.

Australian artist Wax Motif is an expert in vibe curation, consistently presenting a diverse palette of genres and moods through both his productions and DJ sets.

Which makes it no surprise that when asked about his debut album Motif says, “These are all songs that I have made over the years that fit my overall style and are meant to stand the test of time—some of these were created years ago. This album shows my progression, the different styles I’ve tested, and the sounds that felt true to myself.”

The bass-house maestro’s, Wax Motif, debut album, ‘House of Wax,’ is a vivid culmination of that progression, and a shelter of varied sounds that define his versatile style.

‘House of Wax’ is a seventeen-track LP that showcases Wax Motif’s abilities to stretch beyond the bass-house genre on which he made his name.

The album incorporates electronic music as easily as it does hip-hop. Journeying through meditative, chilled-out vibes, summery, highway-cruising bops, and dancefloor bangers. It’s also a warm welcome to Wax’s friends and collaborators. Many of the songs were made with fellow artists who elevate the project into a family affair.

House of Wax brings in four previously unreleased tracks and three remixes. Bringing in the smokey, bouncy “Issa Vibe,” with the OC-based, alternative electronic duo BRKLYN. The glitchy funk of “Eyes Closed,” with electro-pop group ilo ilo. The opulent, Y2K-inspired “Waiting”. And lastly, the dreamy, emotive R&B soundscape of “Live For The Night”. Featuring superstar songwriters Daecolm and Ink, and London-rapper Hex.

These tracks can now be heard with the album’s previously released singles, including the lush, airy grooves of “Koalack;” the raucous bass-house beats of “Come Again,” a collaboration with Polish producer Shahay and British MC Scrufizzer; and the euphoric piano and lavish dance bliss of “Thank You,” featuring long-time friend and collaborator Kaelyn Behr
