The venerated South-African born Kyle Watson takes his talents to hau5trap with groove-inducing new single “Late Night Phone Call”

Adding to his already impressive discography, house music titan Kyle Watson shares his latest dancefloor groover with hau5trap. “Late Night Phone Call” embodies all of the hallmarks of a classic Kyle Watson tune, filling the listeners’ ears with alluring samples and an unforgettable house melody.

This single marks his inaugural release on deadmau5’s curated house imprint. Watson has previously released on industry leading labels such as Gorgon City‘s Realm, Diplo‘s Higher Ground, and Sonny Fodera‘s Solotako. Additionally, he continues to carve his own space in the dance music realm as a co-owner of indie label Box of Cats.

Watson commented on the release, “I worked on ‘Late Night Phone Call’ for ages, tweaking it over and over to get it to this point, I wanted to keep it really simple, with a groove and drums that had to be strong enough to pull the track energy along. The sense of anticipation in the buildups contrasts really well with the drops, so when that bassline pops back in after that memorable vocal sample it just seems to hit right every time.”
