Experimental Bass Legends G Jones and EPROM Drop Single “On My Mind” and Announce Acid Disk 2
Bass music fans gets a healthy dose of innovative songmaking with this explosive new track.
It’s been two years since we’ve seen bass music extraordinaires, G Jones and EPROM, tag team on a track. But lucky for fans, the two are back with an intense experimental track ready to light up festival stages.
The three-minute and nine-second track is a rollercoaster— striking fast with sporadic drums and uplifting vocals. Only a third of the way in, a grimey synth line hits hard and leads listeners into thinking, “is this acid house?” It’s then that the breakdown hits and slaps you across the face with dirty bass patterns, exciting any wook in a nearby radius.
The last song G Jones and EPROM collaborated on, “Daemon Veil” was a big success. The track stays in rotation for both DJ’s live performances and is beloved by many for its unconventional sound design.
The innovative sound style on “On My Mind” is a sign of the keen production process that the two producers have amassed. While they don’t always collaborate on tracks together, hearing what they created when united is a sign that fans want more from the duo.
Luckily for all bass heads out there, this track is just the single from their upcoming joint EP, ‘Acid Disk 2.’ There’s no official release date for the EP just yet, but this striking lead single should be enough to hold fans off until it drops. Listen to the new single down below.
