1. Back to Bayfront Park

In 2019, Ultra Music Festival was forced to move locations to Virginia Key as opposed to their mainstay location of Bayfront Park. Although the event offered a refreshingly new Ultra experience, fans and industry professionals yearned for the return to Bayfront due to traffic constraints and other obstacles that Virginia Key posed. After inking a groundbreaking deal with the city of Miami, festival organizers announced the festival would return to its home at Bayfront Park in 2022. The park offers breathtaking views of both the skyline and the ocean, creating an absolutely unparalleled atmosphere for the festival.

2. Exclusively curated sets

Something that remains special about Ultra Music Festival is the amount of exclusive sets each year. On the roster this year, Ultra enlists exclusive B2B sets from Vintage Culture & Claptone, 4B & SAYMYNAME, Mija & GG Magree, Jauz & NGHTMRE, and many more.

Additionally, the festival will host exclusive live performances from Madeon, Oliver Tree, Pendulum, Gareth Emery, Sofi Tukker, Svdden Death presents VOYD, and more.

3. The ambiance of the city of Miami

Anyone who has previously attended Ultra or Miami Music Week will tell you there’s nothing quite like the magic of Miami during that time. For many, the trip to Miami is an escape from the brutal forces of the Winter months and for others, it’s a trip of a lifetime to one of the most beautiful cities in the States.

Restaurants, bars, hotels, and other hospitality venues around the city welcome guests with open arms and fill their ears with house music along South Beach, downtown Miami, and the surrounding areas. The warm weather paired with the finest offerings in dance music create a once in a lifetime experience that remains engraved in one’s memories for long after.

The man, the myth, the legend, Carl Cox has become one of the leaders of the current generation of dance music with his infectious energy and unmistakable sets. For years, Carl Cox and Ultra have recruited a star-studded house and techno lineup to be featured at RESISTANCE’s Carl Cox Megastructure and this year is certainly no different.

5. The return of the legendary producer Hardwell?

Although this is purely speculation from fans, the lineup includes one final blurred name slated to close the mainstage on Sunday. Given Ultra’s infamous history of bringing desired acts out of retirement, aka Swedish House Mafia in 2018, it would come as no surprise if Hardwell finally returns behind the decks at Ultra Miami in March. The iconic big room producer announced he would be taking a break from the Hardwell project towards the end of 2018. Given the closing slot and the placement on previous alphabetical lineup announcements, the outlook looks promising. No matter who the final headliner may be, we have no doubt Ultra will find a way to close out the event with a bang.
