Charlesthefirst’s Lab Group Shares Plan for the Future of the Project After his Death

Lab Group revealed their plans for the namesake moving forward.

It has been just over a month since the untimely passing of underground bass music producer, Charlesthefirst. Since then, friends, family, and collaborators have taken some time to determine how they wish to pay respect to him. After hosting a beautiful memorial show in Charles’ honor, Lab Group, the music trio that Charles was a member of, took to their socials to make a few major announcements.

On a post featured on their Instagram and Twitter, Lab Group announced that they will continue to release music, with the project lead by Supertask and Potions. However, they highlighted that the main goal will be to use the project as, “a vehicle for collaboration.”

With the efforts of the group focused on continuing the vision that Charles had, they stated that they wish to support the foundations that his family is developing in his name. With this, the Lab Group will be donating a third of current and future profits to charity and the foundation started in Charles’ memory.

“Thank you all so much for participating in this amazing and vibrant community. Charles paved the way for so many of us and we look forward to carrying on his legacy every day. We love you Charles and miss you so much.”

The impact Charles had on people around him is abundantly clear. The effort that everyone is displaying to honor him and his vision is quite unlike any other— whether it be the foundations developed in his name, the creative encouragement for future artists, or the memorial shows for fan to gather around his music once again. It is likely that Charles’ legacy will continue to be honored for years to come and will continue to inspire fans across the world.
