Skrillex Confronts Battle with Self Love in Candid Instagram Post – [Read]

In anticipation of his upcoming collaboration with Pinkpantherss, Willow, and Mura Masa, Skrillex opens up about self love and “being on the mend.”

When you think of the typical rollout for a mega-collab between some of the biggest names in music, a post about self-love and mental health is not normally what comes to mind. Skrillex recently had a moment to open up with his fans in an Instagram post that shared a TikTok made by breakout artist, Pinkpantheress.

In the caption, Skrillex wrote, “I’ve never taken to social media to say this before but self-love is something I had completely forgotten about.” While being transparent about mental health has slowly been increasing in the scene, it is still something that many treat as taboo. Being able to get another perspective on the life of artists allows fans to have a greater appreciation for their craft and view them as real people. 

“Life does speak to you in whispers but if you don’t listen it can become an earthquake.” The poignant remark from Sonny dives deep into the overstimulated world we live in— constantly seeking the next big thing and overlooking the little details in life that make it wonderful.

After taking a second to scroll through the comments, it’s easy to see the overwhelming support he received from both his contemporaries and fans alike. Notable artists who tapped in are Moore Kismet, Kayzo, Troyboi, and even collaborator of their next track, Pinkpantheress. 

From the snippet of the track played in the Tiktok, it seems like fans are getting a classic lofi/drum and bass-esque song with perfectly juxtaposing vocals from Willow and Pinkpantheress. While there’s no official release date yet, it is sure to be released soon based off the hype the audio is receiving on Tiktok.
