Ravers Obsess Over New Festival ‘When We Were Young’ With Insane Lineup Full of Throwbacks

The internet lost their minds this week after the release of the When We Were Young lineup.

It is set to take place on the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on October 22nd, but with over 60 bands featured in one day, there are too many good acts to see.

WWWY was so hotly tipped that Live Nation announced a second day with the same exact lineup. Day 1 has already sold out, and day 2 is headed towards the same fate, so if you’re an emo kid at heart, cop those tickets ASAP.

Safety concerns regarding the festival have already been brought up. Live Nation recently hosted Astroworld which ended in catastrophe and 10 lives were lost due to the poor crowd control.

Live Nation has released a statement regarding the concerns: “The safety of fans, artists, and staff is thoroughly planned for among event organizers and in coordination with local authorities,”they claimed in a response [via Chron].

“We have seen a lot of excitement around this festival and we look forward to putting on an incredible event for all of the fans this October. We encourage fans to check the festival website and socials for all of the latest updates.”

The artists’ featured are reminiscent of Vans’ Warped Tour, and the 2-day event is sure to invoke nostalgia to a simpler time of spiked belts and neon hair for those attending.

An emo kid’s dream, the When We Were Young features hard-hitting icons like My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Bring Me To The Horizon, and Pierce the Veil. It also features deep cut classics from the era, such as The Maine, Sleeping with the Sirens, Dance Gavin Dance, and Wolf Alice.
