Dion Timmer Breaks Silence After Accusations and Shares Shocking Statement – [Read]

Twenty-two year old dubstep superstar Dion Timmer attempts to clear his name after enduring nearly two years of “threats and harassment” and abuse allegations

After gaining support from legendary DJ and producer Excision at a young age, Dion Timmer became a name the dance music community grew to know and love. In early 2020, he became the subject of abuse allegations at the hands of Ashton Goette, a woman whom, according to the artist, he’s only met in person one time.

On Sunday evening, Dion Timmer shared a PDF to Twitter providing his side of the story, along with a series of screenshots to corroborate each statement he makes. The screenshots mainly consist of iMessage and Twitter conversations between Dion Timmer and Ashton Goette. The PDF also includes a screenshot of Ashton Goette’s TikTok, in which she “…bragged about spending money on ads to spread her made-up stories…”

According to Dion Timmer, Ashton Goette also began reaching out to his loved ones. “First comes a renewed apology. Then an apparent desire to be friends again. Then demands for more and more of my attention until her messages turn threatening,” he writes. “Worse, the harassment doesn’t stop with me. Ashton has used a handful of her multiple social media accounts to contact my colleagues, my family and even my former girlfriend.”

As noted in Dion Timmer’s report, Ashton Goette has also created fake victims of the artist’s alleged abuse. “She has continued to use fake accounts to create fictitious victims who “reach out” to her to tell their stories, complete with screenshots of Ashton essentially talking to her characters,” he writes. “Then, she tricked me into a conversation with one of her new anonymous accounts, and I got out of the chat as quickly and as politely as I could.”

Shortly after Dion Timmer posted his account, Ashton Goette responded with a rebuttal from her personal Twitter account. “Dion Timmer used his position as a recognized EDM DJ to take advantage of me and I have learned he has done the same thing to other women. That is the truth.” She goes on, “Now he is trying to discredit me on social media which is typical for men who don’t want to face the truth.”

Not long after sharing this post, she faced backlash from fans, and her Twitter account was made private.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
