Flume Teases New Music with Gorillaz Ahead of Coachella Performance – [Read]

In conjunction with his highly-anticipated return to Coachella in 2022, Flume promises to deliver new music.

Back in April of 2021, Flume shared with the world via social media that new music was on the horizon for 2022 – and now that the new year is in full swing, the anticipation has rapidly escalated. To keep fans satiated until the big compilation drop, Flume has released remixes of Eiffel 65’s “Blue” as well as another remix of Danny L Harle’s “On A Mountain.“ He built excitement on Instagram with an ambiguous caption, reading “2022” and nothing more.

Flume has also released details on his up-coming collaborations with Gorillaz’s Damon Albarn, the only collaboration currently confirmed for the forthcoming LP or EP. He also dropped a bizarre, colorful, and psychedelic video teaser as a prequel not only to his new music release but also to his forthcoming Coachella performance.

The video fuses sounds and sights from the rainforest. For the full new Flume optics, venture below.

Flume is booked to perform at Coachella this year, which is sure to be a memorable year for the festival as the first year back since the modern plague. Flume will helm the stage alongside mainstream artists such as Kanye West, Billie Eilish, Harry Styles, and the infamous Carly Rae Jepsen. Needless to say, the excitement is real!

Coachella’s 2022 lineup fiercly represents some of the biggest names in dance music right now. In addition to Flume, names like Louis the Child, Madeon, Lane 8, Tchami, Slander, and Disclosure, among the most sought-after acts. Not to mention, Coachella will host coveted DJ trio Swedish House Mafia for a special set in the desert this year. If you miss Flume at Coachella, you can catch him at Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee this coming June.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
