Fans Say Trampa, 12th Planet, and Gammer’s Silence “Speaks Volumes” – [Read]

Trampa, 12th Planet, and Gammer have yet to respond publicly to sexual assault allegations made against them by EDM photographer Grim, and people are noticing.

Earlier this month, Grim shared a post to social media detailing three separate accounts that include accusations of both rape and sexual assault. These accusations pointed toward big names in the dance music industry–Trampa, 12th Planet, and Gammer.

Nearly one month later, neither artist has addressed addressed the allegations publicly, or attempted any communication with the public whatsoever. Since the day Grim posted the allegations, all three artists have went completely dark on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, which some say “speaks volumes.” Other fans have been defending the artists, and respecting any time they might need to process the situation.

Although EDM fans have come to expect some sort of apology or rebuttal when their favorite DJs get called out for their unfavorable behavior, it is not always in the best interest of the artist. When Datsik reached out to the community with an apology, fans became even more irrate about the allegations made against him. On the other hand, a number of Bassnectar fans took his statement as an admission of guilt.

Fans are wondering if these artists will be able to wait this one out. However, that does not seem to be the case, as Trampa and 12th Planet’s gigs are already being canceled.

Eptic replaced Trampa for a b2b with Must Die! at Cyclops Cove in Boca Raton earlier this month. In anither instance, 12th Planet was removed from Insomniac’s Orlando Invasion. It is unclear whether or not Gammer has been pulled from any lineups or experienced show cancellations. Although the artists have still not spoken, event organizers have expressed distaste by taking the situation into their own hands.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
