The momumental year for Summit was quite the change from his previous years, as the pandemic allowed him to slingshot from small venues to the mainstage at every festival. It’s been almost impossible to find a lineup that he’s not on, with him performing at EDC Las Vegas, Electric Zoo, and Defected London.
Additionally, the label he’s worked with to release some of his biggest tracks, Defected, was ranked as the best-selling and most streamed label of 2021. The London label, which also is home to Duke Dumont, MK, and Camelphat, dominated in a year where the industry faced obstacles.

John Summit recently teased in a tweet that he feels, “the only he can make 2022 bigger is by starting [his] own label and throwing [his] own events.” We can only anticipate the amazing things to come, so for now, we’ll have to enjoy his New Year’s Eve set.
