His unwavering take on trap and bass music positions the burgeoning artist as an artist to watch as he continues to expand his discography. XAVAGE’s latest collaboration is a hard-hitting trap offering that showcases his studio precision and ability to blend genres. Joining forces with budding rap artist DARKMARK, the pair proves two is better than one as they meet at an apex between their two signature sounds.

Hot off the heels of his recent collaboration with DARKMARK, XAVAGE closes out the year on a high note with a fiery exclusive guest mix on Exron Music. Providing a glimpse of his stirring trap-forward sound, XAVAGE takes the listener on a journey as he seamlessly mixes tracks from artists like Missy Elliot, RL Grime, Drake, Wuki, and some of his original work.

Exron Music: What is your biggest takeaway from 2021?

XAVAGE: My biggest takeaway from 2021 is the importance of the phrase “Do You”. Whether you are an artist, musician, entrepreneur, etc, do it for yourself and not others. Specifically for me that means creating music that feeds my soul. My music moves to my own groove and I welcome anyone that wants to join.

Exron Music: Your latest collaboration, “Damage” with DARKMARK, is about accepting your flaws and self-love. How has music helped you to express yourself and accept your own flaws?

XAVAGE: Every listener out there struggles in some way, shape or form of accepting their flaws. At the end of the day we are human. If we can create music that speaks on this issue and are able to share it with the world then we can begin to normalize humans accepting their flaws.

Exron Music: “Damage” marks your third collaboration with DARKMARK after “In The Trap” and “If You Need Me, Don’t”. What makes the studio chemistry between the two of you flow so well?

XAVAGE: DARKMARK is more than just a collaborator to me. He is family. More than anything, our work ethic is very high and when we get in the studio together we push each other to become the best version of ourselves.

Exron Music: Your Exron guest mix features tracks from the likes of GRiZ, Drake, Wuki, Missy Elliot, and more. What do you believe to be the hallmarks of a great mix/set?

XAVAGE: When I made this mix I didn’t care or worry about the age / genre of music. My mixes will always be diverse while at the same time being cohesive in terms of groove and danceability. This industry has a flawed mindset that a song from 2 months ago is old news. Catch me dropping 2014 trap tunes and early 2000’s hip hop in my sets and sleeping just fine at night.

Exron Music: You sprinkled a few IDs in your mix – can you share any upcoming plans or releases with us at this time? What is your biggest goal for 2022?

XAVAGE: In early 2022 I will be dropping my second EP so be on the lookout for that!
