Elements Festival Announces New Location for 2022 After Hurricane Disaster – [Read]
Following the aftermath of a hurricane that decimated the previous festival site, Elements has announced a new location in Long Pond, Pennsylvania.
The founder of Elements festival, Timothy Monkiewicz, took to Instagram to share the news of the location change. He comments, “I think one of the core issues we have is that we get so excited about building the art and stages that we haven’t focused enough energy on basic needs and care of our customers and this really has to change”
Tim goes on to discuss how the first big change they will be implementing is the location of the festival to Long Pond, PA. The new location is located directly off of a highway, making it easily accessible to all coming from major cities, and is built for large crowds with proper drainage for handling inclement weather problems. The new location also allows for car camping for all, including RVs.
The festival will be taking place from August 19th to August 22nd. Each stage of the festival is modeled after a specific element and plays a different style of music.
The Water Stage features disco, funk, & reggae, the Earth Stage for lovers of psychedelic, bass, jam bands, and experimental genres, the Fire Stage highlights high energy sets with dirty bass drops and funky rhythms, and the Air Stage promotes techno, house, afrobeat, and ambient performances from all around the world.
No matter what your taste, there is a stage for you!
Not only is music a central part of the experience, Elements Festival prides itself on offering other activities for attendees such as interactive performances, yoga, large-scale art installations, tribal markets, and games.
The last Elements festival was put under heavy scrutiny after suffering from both disorganization and weather issues in a post-pandemic world. Festival-goers complained about water shortages, 16 hour lines for entry, and little planning for the torrential rain that hit the site and camping area.
With the new location of the festival, organizers hope to combat these problems and ensure the festival is as safe as possible for their fans and return Elements back to its original glory as one of the top electronic music festivals in North America.
Elements is known for hosting some of the most prominent acts in electronic music. The absolutely stacked 2020 lineup included Chris Lake, Bonobo, Rusko, Four Tet, Claude VonStroke, Diplo, Dr. Fresch, TOKiMONSTA, Gramatik, and many more.
If a year of lockdown has taught us anything, its that people have been ready to party together again for a very long time. Keep an eye out on Elements social media and Exron’s blog for updates on the 2022 lineup.
