Lucii Shares Childhood Story on National Coming Out Day – [Read]

On this year’s National Coming Out Day, Wakaan mainstay Lucii shares the turning point in her childhood when she knew she was not straight. 

There’s no doubt that Lucii is a queer icon in the electronic music scene. On National Coming Out Day, she shared a post to her socials expressing her sexuality and detailing a story from her childhood in which she first felt attracted to another female. Her own reply to the Tweet reads, “happy coming out day ? i knew i wasn’t straight since i had a hot babysitter when i was 7 lol. be yourself and fuck what anyone else says, ur beautiful.”

Lucii’s fans took the post as an opportunity to continue to support her and some even shared similar stories. As expected, many took the chance to ask Lucii herself for a kiss. 

Although Lucii was extra loud about her sexuality on National Coming Out Day, she’s never really been shy about it. It’s clear that she uses her platform not only for sharing music with fans but to inspire others to be themselves at the expense of everything else.

Lucii has come a long way this year. After the news leaked that she and Rezz split up, it seemed like she was embarking on a healing journey through self-love. She even wrote a song, “Without U” that some fans believe was inspired by the breakup. 

Currently, aboard her Metamorphosis tour, Lucii recently performed at Lost Lands and Beyond Wonderland. She’s gearing up to finish out the year strong and just shared plans to play at Decadence in Colorado to ring in the new year.
