Breakaway North Carolina Delivered a Dreamy Weekend of Dance – [REVIEW]

Cheers and fireworks rang out at the final of three 2021 Breakaway Festivals. This two-day festival at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina was the perfect re-entry to the music festival scene. Short and sweet, the stand-out line-up proved to be a much-needed escape for crowds of energetic fans hungry for the return of live music. As the first live performance in almost a year for many of the acts, the atmosphere was absolutely electric!

Utilizing only one stage gave fans a chance to stay on the fence and dance the night away as performer after performer came right to them. On Friday headliners Martin Garrix and G-Eazy brought high performance quality utilizing bold sets, pyrotechnics, smoke, and flames, leaving audiences wanting more. Following the success of their exciting set, Two Friends has announced their national Adventureland tour. These two certainly put on a memorable show for fans, coming down to everyone at the fence and taking pictures.

Saturday headliners Gryffin and Lane 8 delivered pulse racing sets while The Chainsmokers closed out the festival with their crowd-pleasing hits. Though this festival was small it made sure to get the essentials right. Food and drink options were out of this world with something for everyone, including vegetarian and vegan options. One of the many perks of a small well run festival, there were multiple drink and food booths that were expediting orders quickly so there were never any lines! The ambiance for the festival was dreamy; with grass walls, a silent disco, and roller skating all features pointed towards the main attraction; the massive stage. Everyone wore their best festival gear and came ready to enjoy themselves. Make sure to put Breakaway Music Festival on your list of top genre-ambiguous festivals for next year.
