What To Know About Diplo and his Alleged “Stalker” – [Read]
Diplo solemnly swears to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth
This was quite the year for the Me Too movement, not just in the film industry and in politics, but also the music industry. From Bassnectar’s unfortunate sexcapades with seventeen-year-olds to Datsik’s ketamine fairy woes, there were a number of boo-boos made by A-list EDM artists – and one of the most highly talked about controversies was undoubtably Diplo’s sexual harassment saga with an unhinged accuser on Twitter named “Shelly.”

For the first time since the fomentation of Diplo’s court room drama, the artist released an in-detail public statement vehemently defending his actions. “She was an obsessed fan of mine and after relinquishing all contact with her, it appears that her only purpose in life has been to disrupt my work, my business, harass my close friends and attack me and threaten my family.
“To be clear, [she] was not a minor when I had conversations or sexual intercourse with her… I had a night of consensual sex with her…” Diplo went on to narrate a subsequent consensual orgy experience with his accuser. “Her and her friends ended up at an after party and asked me to go to my room. We all ended up having sex that night…” Diplo alleged that after the second and final non-platonic encounter, his stalker began an online harassment campaign via fake Instagram accounts, with his many baby mamas being the poor, unfortunate souls to get the full beratement blast.
Diplo’s story strengthened with, “A year later… a private investigator found [the harassment direct messages] were all coming from [her] location under many names. We counted over 50, at one point.” After presenting this evidence before a court of law and procuring a homemade movie from the infamous orgy night, the civil suit raised against Diplo was immediately dropped. Both the “stalker” and her crony, also a former plaintiff and pot-stirrer, released statements to the prestigious and preeminent TMZ about their regrets on pursuing legal recourse.
When speaking on the rescission, Diplo commented, “Her friend had to issue an apology to me within ten days, and it was asked that the video can never go public… But if any media outlet needs to see this, my lawyers can fly there and show it to you in person. It explains everything.”
But like, where’s the video Diplo? As a concerned member of this public grand jury and a champion of the press, of this great nation’s 1st Amendment, I for one would like to review the evidence. Please, fly your legal team to me so I may judiciously review this low-budget blockbuster, the testimonies of TMZ, and of Shelly’s publicly-waged thumb wars on Twitter. With pens in hands and hands over hearts, the press is ready to listen… to contemplate… to gasp… to sigh… to adjudicate!
