Slow Magic Makes bitbird Debut With New Single “OPEN” Ahead of ‘Gouldian Finch 4’ – [Listen]

Iconic masked producer Slow Magic continues his creative journey as he joins the bitbird family for their ‘Gouldian Finch 4’ compilation

Slow Magic has been generating attention in the realm of indie electronic music scene his debut album ‘Triangle’ in 2012. Since then, the annoymous producer has received over 200 million streams and built a career around his transcendtal soundscapes and ability to craft timeless records.

Each year offers something special for the producer as he continues to blossom as an artist. Marking another monumetal moment in his career, Slow Magic makes his debut on San Holo‘s imprint, bitbird, for the fourth installment of their ‘Gouldian Finch’ compilation series. He states, “I’ve been a fan of San Holo and bitbird for a long time! After meeting and playing some shows with San Holo and getting to know some of the bitbird crew it means a ton to be working together.” 

Slow Magic offers up a stimulating track for his bitbird debut. “OPEN” features a shimmering soundcape that’s filled with lush drums, upbeat synths, and exuberant piano lines. In true Slow Magic fashion, he demonstrates his undeniable studio prowess while creating an uplifting and and lively experience for the listener. The track is rife with emotion and a seemingly effortless blend of instrumentals that don’t adhere to the confines of any singular genre.

“Being stuck inside and unable to play music for over a year has been a huge struggle for me,” he elaborates. “This song came out of this time but reflects the escape of a much more free and open life.
